Registration FAQs

Garden City Raiders FC is a volunteer-run club. All of our committee members work full-time and generously give up their time to keep the club running. We don’t have a staffed office, phone or email support, so we appreciate your understanding as our team balances club duties with their jobs and family commitments.
To make things easier, we’ve developed this page to answer the most common questions we receive about registrations. Please take a moment to read through the FAQs below before reaching out.
You can contact us with enquiries via email registrar@gardencityraiders.com and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

When Can I Register?

Registrations will open 1st January 2026 and close 30th January 2026.

How Do I Register?

How Much Are The Fees?

Please visit our registration fees page.

For 2026, Garden City Raiders FC will implement a strict “no pay, no play” policy. Players must have paid fees in full at registration to be allocated to a team and be able to play. These fees include club fee, Football Queensland fee and Football Australia (Play Football fee).

Can I Pay Instalments?

No. Fees must be paid in full at time of registration.

Are There Trials?

At this stage we will not be conducting trials for 2026. This is being explored for Junior teams and will be advised via our website and Facebook page if this does change.

What age group do I register for? Can my child play in a different age group?

You should register in the age group that your child will turn in that year. For example, a child born in 2010 would register for U16 for the 2026 season.
Players wishing to register outside their normal age group may require dispensation from Football Queensland. If registering in a different age group, you must explain the reason in an email to registrar@gardencityraiders.com. The club cannot guarantee these preferences will occur, but we will try our best to accommodate these when we are able.

When will training be held?

We share our home ground with 2 other football clubs and cricket in summer season. Due to this, field availability is allocated to us. MiniRoos will train 1 night per week, Juniors U13, U14/15s, U16/17s train 2 nights per week, the number of training sessions is ultimately the coaches call. We will advise of training day and time as soon as our 2026 field booking planning is completed.

How will I know if my registration was successful?

You will receive a confirmation email once registration is completed in Squadi. When teams are finalised, you will receive a team welcome email from the club registrar.

Do you accept the $200 PlayON! Sport Voucher?

Yes, our club is registered to accept the $200 Play On! Sports Voucher. Please upload your child's voucher when you register them in the Sqaudi platform. Remember, these vouchers can only be claimed once.
