Terms and Conditions

1. Registration

  • By registering with the Garden City Raiders Football Club, members agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
  • Membership fees must be paid in full at the time of registration.
  • The Club reserves the right to suspend or cancel registration for non payment or breach of this agreement.

2. Code of Conduct

  • All members, players, parents/spectators, and volunteers must adhere to the Club’s Code of Conduct Policy.
  • Breaches of the Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or removal from Club activities.

3. Participation

  • Players are expected to attend training sessions and matches regularly and on time.
  • The Club is not liable for injuries sustained during training, matches, or events, except where required by law.
  • Players must wear appropriate Club approved uniforms and protective gear.

4. Club Involvement

  • Parents/guardians agree to assist with team duties as rostered and participate in fundraising activities from time to time.
  • You also accept that you will be required to volunteer for BBQ duty, ground official duties or other club activities when your team is rostered.
  • We are a community club run entirely by volunteers, and we rely on parents to step forward as coaches and managers for each team. The club does not assign coaches or managers to teams, so if no parent volunteers, we may need to reconsider whether that team can continue. The Club will provide support, guidance, and access to appropriate education to help you succeed in this role.

5. Use of Facilities

  • Club facilities must be treated with respect and kept clean.
  • Damage to property caused by negligence or misconduct may result in financial liability for the responsible party.
  • Alcohol, drugs, and smoking are prohibited in designated Club areas.

6. Sponsorship, Photography, and Media

  • The Club may display sponsor logos and promotional material at events, on uniforms, and across digital platforms.
  • Members consent to the use of photographs and videos taken at Club games/activities for promotional purposes, unless they notify the Club President in writing at president@gardencityraiders.com.

7. Fines

  • Any individual fines issued by Football Queensland will be passed on to the relevant player.

8. Insurance

  • Football Queensland holds an insurance policy to cover registered players, as detailed on the Football Queensland website.
  • Members acknowledge that participation in football involves inherent risks and agree to take reasonable precautions for their own safety.

By registering with the Garden City Raiders Football Club, members acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Code of Conduct Policy

Purpose

The Garden City Raiders Football Club is committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all members of our community. This Code of Conduct outlines the standards of behaviour expected from players, parents/spectators, and volunteers to ensure our club remains a place of enjoyment, growth, and fair play.

1. Expectations for Players

  • Respect the Game: Play by the rules and uphold the spirit of fair competition.
  • Respect Others: Treat teammates, opponents, coaches, referees, and volunteers with courtesy and respect.
  • Commitment: Attend training and matches regularly, arrive on time, and give your best effort.
  • Sportsmanship: Celebrate success with humility and accept defeat with dignity.
  • Safety: Avoid dangerous play and look after the wellbeing of yourself and others.

2. Expectations for Parents & Spectators

  • Positive Support: Encourage players with constructive words; avoid criticism or negative remarks.
  • Respect Officials: Accept decisions made by referees and match officials without dispute.
  • Role Modelling: Demonstrate good sportsmanship and set a positive example for young players.
  • Sideline Behaviour: Refrain from abusive language, aggressive behaviour, or interference with play.
  • Community Spirit: Support the club’s values and contribute to a welcoming environment for all.

The Committee is expected to uphold and enforce this Code of Conduct and act in the best interests of the club.
